Location while you are on shift
Your shift starts after you choose one of the buttons below.
In this app, RECAP Field records your location while you are on shift, including while the app is in the background or the phone is locked.
- It starts when you tap Start shift and stops when you tap End shift.
- It records where you are about every 10 minutes, so the remote desk can reach you in an emergency and your billed hours can be confirmed at your assigned site.
- If you swipe the app away, automatic location stops until you open it again.
- Nothing is recorded while you are off shift, except an emergency alert you choose to send. Your phone shows a notice the whole time location is on.
Next, your phone asks for permission. Choose Allow While Using App (iPhone) or While using the app (Android). If your iPhone asks later, choose Change to Always Allow. On Android, a notification shows while location is on.

PIN for shared computers
Lets you clock in on a shared computer at your site with your work email and this 6-digit PIN, when you don't have your phone.
Sign out
You will need signal and your password to sign back in. While signed out, the app can't alert the remote desk or send anything else. EMERGENCY still opens the Emergency screen.
Off-site work
Working away from your assigned site on purpose (standby, remote work)? Ask for approval here, so your hours aren't questioned. A supervisor approves or declines it.

BackThen alert the remote desk
Sends a panic alert to the desk with your location. This does not call 911.

Use your Garmin inReach SOS, or iPhone Emergency SOS via satellite (open the Phone app and dial 911; if there is no signal the iPhone offers satellite). Alerts from this app wait on the phone until you have a connection.
